Accelerated backup and DR
HCS systems replace on-premises backup equipment, media and processes with automated cloud snapshots. The always-incremental approach means data protection completes in a minimal amount of time and eliminates interruptions to production workloads. There are no tapes and off-site services to manage and pay for.
Recoveries from the cloud are location-independent, which means you can recover data to any site with a connection to the cloud. In addition, recoveries are deterministic and only download the data that is needed by applications and users, eliminating the wasted time and capacity problem associated with full recoveries that include inactive data that is no longer being used.
