Steve Querner Named SVP of Sales and Marketing for StorSimple

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Oct. 31, 2011StorSimple, the leading provider of Cloud Integrated Enterprise Storage for Windows and VMware infrastructures, today announced that Steve Querner joined the company as senior vice president of sales and marketing. The appointment follows the company’s remarkable growth in vertical markets for mid-size and Fortune 100 companies. Querner, an industry veteran with over twenty five years of enterprise storage sales experience with IBM and EMC among others, will direct the sales and marketing team as it continues to establish and maintain positive customer relationships with enterprise organizations.

The ability to achieve the full benefit of the cloud while maintaining control of performance and security is in high demand among enterprises. Querner most recently served as North American Storage Sales Leader at IBM. Querner joined IBM through its acquisition of XIV in 2007 and led the sales team of the fastest growing segment within the IBM storage division. Prior to IBM, Querner was vice president, worldwide sales at Onstor, Inc., a venture backed NAS start-up, where he was responsible for managing worldwide sales organization. In addition, he has held prominent positions at Cisco Systems and EMC.
