Application compatibility is a key factor in the experience customers enjoy on Windows Server 2008 R2. To ensure customers are receiving the best experience, Microsoft offers two levels of Application Certification: Certified for Windows Server 2008 R2, and Works with Windows Server 2008 R2. Designed for line-of-business and mission-critical applications, the Certified for Windows Server 2008 R2 logo demonstrates that StorSimple meets Microsoft's highest technical bar for stability, security, reliability, availability, Windows fundamentals, and platform compatibility.
“Enterprises want the best-of-both worlds: the instant, elastic provisioning of the cloud that is available from anywhere with low-cost utility billing, while still being able to give users familiar applications such as Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SharePoint with the same security features and at least the same performance,” said Ursheet Parikh, founder and CEO of StorSimple. “Being Certified for Windows Server 2008 R2 is something enterprises are demanding so that they know when they use cloud-as-a-tier for storage, they get the same levels of integration they get in the enterprise.”
